Steps for reproduce the problem:
1. create PHP proyect
2. create document: html or php
3. Click option "Run File" in the menu "Run" or using "Run File" from contextual menu.
4. Netbeans do nothing.

My solution:
When you created the project Netbeans put on "Proyect Properties"->Browser
the value "IDE Default Browser"

Now in my pc i don't have installed Chrome. Only IE and Firefox.
Once i had Chrome installed and "Run File" work without problem

My solution is select the option "Firefox" and now "Run File" work perfect.

I understand the problem is detect the default browser.
