=== AMBIENT: Product Version: NetBeans IDE 8.2 (Build 201609300101) Java: 1.8.0_121; OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM 25.121-b13 Runtime: OpenJDK Runtime Environment 1.8.0_121-8u121-b13-0ubuntu1.16.04.2-b13 System: Linux version 4.4.0-62-generic running on amd64; UTF-8; en_GB (nb) Mint 18 Mate 64b Firefox Developer Edition (alpha channel by default). In this very moment is 53.0a2 (2017-02-07) (64-bit), but previously I used to use the standard version of Firefox and I had the same problem, so it doesn't depend on the Firefox version. === PROBLEM: I uses SHIFT+F6 a lot to run .php files in my web projects, but it has the side effect that after some time of use, Firefox becomes unresponsive, almost frozen (reply to a click after 30s), and the only solution is to close it and reopen. This used to happen also on previous versions of Netbeans/Firefox/OS but I blamed Firefox because I didn't notice that it happens only when Netbeans launches Firefox. I've now also discovered, as a further confirmation, that another option to unfreeze Firefox is to close Netbeans and in that very moment Firefox turns back to life. I cannot give a procedure to reproduce the problem at will, but tipically it appears to happen most of the time when toggling F12 (developer console) and CTRL+SHIFT+M (responsive mode).
