Whenever you do anything in NetBeans, it will write to the uigestures file in the NetBeans log directory. If you run on an OS that provides the user with a personal RAM based directory (e g $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR) it would be nice if you could tell NetBeans to create its log directory there instead of in the profile directorty.

You can do it yourself with a script, see https://www.grim.se/guide/nblog-tmpfs
