Created attachment 164046 [details] project tab coloring not working
I have something very similar and don't believe it is the same as 249510. As you can see from the attachment: I have 7 projects open. The top 2 grey files are from 2 different projects. The middle grey file is from a 3rd project. The bottom row of files are all from a 4th project. I use Windows 7x64. I am using the "Metal" look and feel.
Works fine on my side for NB 8.2 and Dev - Windows 7 64bit, JDK 8u131/9, Windows/Metal LaF. Tabs for files of the first 9 projects have colored backgrounds. Could you please share the setup/steps for which the coloring doesn't work at all or just partially? Also please provide the NetBeans logfile: http://wiki.netbeans.org/FaqLogMessagesFile.
