Running NetBeans 7.0.1 because updates and later versions do not support OpenVMS development.  After re-install (inadvertently updated to unusable release), when I launch the IDE, the start-up window appears for about 8 seconds, then the IDE shuts itself down.  We had this problem before, but don't remember the folders we had to delete prior to install to make the IDE functional (if that would correct our problem now).

NetBenas 7.0.1 does not run on JDK 8 (you are using JDK 1.8.0_45) due to incompatible change in JDK 8. For more details see issue #229191. Please use JDK 7 to run NetBeans 7.0.1.
