Atm, I can add folders and files to the option "Ignored files pattern" this works very well and as expected. I added the folders bower_components and node_modules to it, to remove it from the indexing to get Go To File works faster. My problem is, that I can't open those folders inside the project or files view because they are not there anymore, what was expected. Sometimes, I have to open some files in it or have to remove the folder or have a look into it and I have to do this via the operating system explorer, so I have to leave the context from my IDE. For my opinion, it would be nice to have an option or a second input field, where I can remove files/folders from indexing and remove files/folders from the view perspective, so that I will not see it inside projects, favorites or files. Atm add folder/file to "ignored files pattern" will remove it from the whole IDE context. Regards Chris
In intelliJ There is an option called "Mark directory as" and you can exclude this folder from the project window. It gets an other color but is still visible, so I think that it's excluded from indexing but it's is still there to navigate.
Any news here?
