It freezes. I can't identify a common pattern, seems to be random. Disk usage goes up to 99% and keeps in that level until I kill the process in task manager. It happens also to a couple of friends who also use windows 8.

Operating System = Windows 8 version 6.2 running on amd64

Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 24.79-b02

Can you please capture several thread dump when the IDE is not responding?
