In my screen captures for webstorm and chrome, you can see that the moving of open tabs is more smoothly, you have a bit higher threshold that you can move the mouse a bit above or below the tabs so the IDE or the browser will not undock the tab until the threshold was arrived. In Netbeans it is not that smoothly, you can undock it as quick as possible and it is sometimes a pain in the ass to move the tab on a horizontal line exactly. Chrome and Webstorm is more intuitive, you don't have to be scared, that accidentely undock the editor window or move to an other pane. If you do a "Shift Window Tab Right/Left" it looks nicer I think, so you can do it with the shortcut but sometimes you would like to do it with the mouse. Regards Chris
