Description Christian Lenz 2016-01-14 08:31:41 UTC
When I use for example Search, I got the results maybe Search Results (window) I click this to see the search results window comes up. After this I type New File and I see the new File dialog. When I hit Ctrl I again to go to quick search, I see the recent searches which has this order:

New File
Search Results (Window)

When I click on Search Results or search for Search Results again, I got this result again from the recent list.

What happens afterwards when I go to the quick search again is that the order of the recent search results, didn't change. It is still:

New File
Seaerch Results (Window)

So what I expect is this:

Search Results (Window)
New File

So a reordner of items and the really last search result should be the first item ever. Same behaviour is in IntelliJ or WebStorm which is very handy, because if often use quick search and the same recent search like in my case Search Results. Now I have to navigate with the arrow keys 3 times up to get the right item, because I had other recent searches before. But now Search Results should be the very first item.

Regards

Chris

It should be an option to change the order from: alphabetically to last used or whatever the user wants.

I will close it, because it will handled now at the JIRA board: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-28. Please feel free to change the state of the ticket.
