Product Version = NetBeans IDE 8.1 (Build 201510222201) Operating System = Mac OS X version 10.11.2 running on x86_64 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.8.0_66 Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.66-b17 Reproducibility: Happens every time STEPS: * Open NetBeans and put it in full-screen mode (press the main window's green button). * Open a NetBeans module's Project Properties dialog. * Select the Libraries category, select a Module Dependency and press the Edit… button. ACTUAL: * The Project Properties dialog is correctly dimmed (because another window has the focus); * Edit Module Dependency dialog is not displayed. You have to close it pressing ESC. EXPECTED: Edit Module Dependency dialog. NOTE: If you open the Project Properties dialog *BEFORE* putting NetBeans in full-screen mode, and then press the press the main window's green button (NB in full-screen), then the Edit Module Dependency dialog is correctly displayed. The problems occurs only when the Project Properties dialog is opened when NetBeans *IS* in full-screen mode

Tested on Mac OS X version 10.10.5, but it behaves correctly, the edit dialog is displayed in the front of others. Maybe in your newer OS X version there is some difference...
