Reproducibility: Happens every time

STEPS:
Tool -> Plugins -> Download -> Add Plugins
http://plugins.netbeans.org/plugin/53359/xml-quick-format

ACTUAL:
Successully installed on IDE 8.1

EXPECTED:

Please try to enlist it in IDE 8.1 certified plugin, and see if it's possible to intergated in IDE's default for autoformat while save.

Interesting idea - but I can't seem to find plugin's sources; the formatter engine could be eventually used to replace more lexer-based features (depends on the exact implementation)
