As you implemented cordova and there is a plugin for code completion for ionic, it would be very nice to implement the new technology to build truely native apps with nativescript from telerik. You create XML files like the one you have for android, but you use javascript libs for the communication with the phone api and CSS for styling. Sry again, of course, it is a javascript topic, because you can create nativescript apps with javascript and/or typescript.
So it could be a project template with or withoug angular2 for example, XML UI component support (Code completion), debugging support for the running app in an emulator, adding std plugins like in the cordova integration. Only my ideas.
