Instructions for installing the plugin for 8.0.2 can be found at:

However, no further patches or fixes will be made for 8.0.2

Sometime in November, 2015, the Python Plugin(s) for NetBeans 8.1 will be available in the Plugin Portal Update Center, and at http://plugins.netbeans.org/

Users of NetBeans IDE (Development) can experiment with Python plugins from the Development Update Center. This is ONLY for DEV users (and perhaps 8.1 users temporarily):
