Created attachment 156931 [details] Comparison of 8.0 and 8.1 splashscreen images. Product Version: NetBeans IDE 8.1 (Build 201510222201) Java: 1.8.0_65; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.65-b01 Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0_65-b17 System: Linux version 3.13.0-37-generic running on amd64; UTF-8; cs_CZ (nb) Description: ============ NetBeans cube looks cut on top and bottom and the lines are unnecessarily wide which makes the logo look very ugly in the About dialog and startup splashscreen. See attached comparison between 8.0 and 8.1 versions of the logo. Steps to reproduce: =================== 1. Launch NetBeans IDE 8.1 FCS candidate build #201510222201. 2. Invoke "Help > About" from main menu. Expected: NetBeans cube in the logo is 3D i.e. a lot of blue background color can be seen through the cube. Its top is visibly cut out. Actual: NetBeans cube in the logo looks flat and only a few blue pixels of the blue background color can be seen through the cube.
Created attachment 156932 [details] Comparison of Development and 8.1 splashscreen images. The development builds are okay in this regard so its only a problem of builds from release81 branch.
