Created attachment 156653 [details] error each time I close and open the netbean I have to re-install the netbean connector extension in chrome (Version 45.0.2454.101 m) each time I close and open the netbean application. Same issue as reported in bug 254196/ bug 244047, but I'm using the latest netbean 8.0.2.
It looks like a duplicate of issue 254083. Could you, please, check whether there are some updates available - using Tools > Plugins menu? If so then please install the updates and check whether it fixes the problem. If not then please attach the content of IDE log to this issue (see View > IDE Log menu). Thank you in advance.
Created attachment 156677 [details] IDE log
Hi, Thanks for your comment. After checking, no updates are available in the plugin menu. I attached the IDE log. Thanks again.
The IDE Log shows that the version of your extbrowser.chrome module is [1.8.1 201411181905]. This corresponds to the latest build of NetBeans 8.0.2 that you can download from https://netbeans.org/downloads/ Unfortunately, this build does not contain the fix of issue 254083. It must be updated using Tools > Plugins. You should see there HTML5 Kit update - it updates extbrowser.chrome (External Chrome Browser) module to version 1.8.2 that contains the fix. > After checking, no updates are available in the plugin menu. This seems to be root of the issue. You should see the update as I mentioned above. Any chance that you are behind proxy and you don't have it configured in NetBeans correctly? See Tools > Options > General > Proxy Settings.
I am working proxy (system proxy settings). Shall I change it to something else? Maybe uninstall-install the HTML5 kit? The test connection pass.
Reassigning to platform/autoupdate. Please, investigate why the reporter does not see the update of HTML5 kit.
(In reply to Jan Stola from comment #4) > The IDE Log shows that the version of your extbrowser.chrome module is > [1.8.1 201411181905]. I tried reproducing: * removed my 8.0.2 installation * deleted 8.0.2 userdir and cachedir (http://wiki.netbeans.org/FaqWhatIsUserdir) * installed full netbeans 8.0.2 distro, in Customize panel I disabled Features On Demand to have all modules enabled by default * in the fresh running 8.0.2 I do have the new version of the module which was installed as an update during installation org.netbeans.modules.extbrowser.chrome [1.8.2 201509011645] Reporter, can you try the same?
