Currently, the IDE plugins window doesn't offer the option to sort plugins by date criteria. 
It would be handy to have this feature in:
1. On "available plugins" tab, have a "date published" column to sort by publication date
2. On "Installed plugins" tab, have a "date installed" column to sort by installation date.
