It would be nice to change default .desktop icon to 128x128 version, because on Gnome it looks terrible (http://i.imgur.com/fZhVHpF.png).
The best thing would be to include svg icon, but I don't know if it exists.
There is included 128x128 icon for Mac in /usr/local/netbeans-8.0.2/nb/netbeans.icns, which can be easily extracted using icns2png.
