Description Jiri Kovalsky 2002-07-08 13:34:16 UTC
Development build #200207080100 of NetBeans 3.4
Windows 2000 with JDK 1.4.1 RC build #15

Description:
============
Both "In/Compatible With OS" fields on "Advanced"
tab of filesystem customizer are empty if user
mounts its CVS filesystem using CVS wizard and
picks up Command-line Client.

Steps to reproduce:
===================
1. Use "Versioning|Mount Version Control|CVS" main
menu to mount CVS filesystem using Command-line
Client.
2. Invoke "Customize" on the filesystem once it is
mounted.
3. Switch to "Advanced" tab of the customizer.
4. Check both mentioned textfields.
Comment 1 Martin Entlicher 2002-07-18 10:39:00 UTC
Is this really a problem??
The CVS wizard does not parse the OS information, because it does not
care about it. It has hardcoded profile names for each OS. And because
it does not parse the OS information from the profile, it does not set
it to the filesystem. This is the reason why it's not set in the
Customizer.
IMHO the OS information is not needed after the correct profile is
mounted. The OS information is necessary only for Generic VCS mount
wizard.

Okay, I don't mind it that much. If somebody else can't live without
having this fixed, we can resolve it then.
Comment 3 Quality Engineering 2003-07-01 12:58:45 UTC
Resolved for 3.4.x or earlier, no new info since then -> closing.
