Description mattsoftware 2015-06-25 06:51:37 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE 8.0.2 (Build 201411181905)
Operating System = Linux version 3.11.10-7-desktop running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.8.0
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.0-b70

Cannot activate the jira plugin. The plugin manager simply reports that....

Activation failed: Not all requested modules can be enabled: [StandardModule:org.netbeans.modules.jira jarFile: /home/mpaine/.netbeans/8.0.1/modules/org-netbeans-modules-jira.jar]

I have been using the older connector due to it working (never have gotten the 5.0+ adapter working). Jira is deprecating the older connector (which uses soap) so I am forced to use the newer one. It did not work and was in a loop of verifying connection, ok, then the dialog would popup. So I removed the plugin altogether thinking a fresh install of the plugin would help. The plugin installs, and then reboots, but the above error stops the plugin from loading.

Although this is likely a jira plugin issue (which I believe is a support module), the plugin manager does not give me enough information to move forward.

You should create new issue in other category. Also please attach the IDE log.
