Product Version = NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201506070001) (#4743c59700af) Operating System = Windows 8 version 6.2 running on amd64 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.8.0_45; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.45-b02; Oracle Corporation Runtime = Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0_45-b15 I've installed NetBeans dev build 201506070001 on Windows 8.1 x64. It managed to start it two or three times, then I've switched to airplane mode, and I could no longer start it, even after enabling network again. I've cleared user and cache dirs to no avail. When starting the progress goes through loading modules and starting modules, and then disappears with no error message. I can see no errors in log file neither. User and cache dirs will follow.

My findings after further investigation: - the culprit was accidentally adding a word "parametr" to the netbeans_default_options property in netbeans.conf - a bad thing is that there was no error message, no information about unrecognized parameter in logs, nothing to help to find the reason. Application just silently disappears on startup.
Not only it doesn't start. It doesn't give a clue what's going on.
