1. Open a Java file
2. Open the Git history of the file (I assume this works the same for other code repositories)
3. Select the "Graphical" tab
4. Users should be able to copy the Git hash from the title on the graphical diff. Again, this holds true for other code repositories such as Mercurial or Subversion. It is useful to paste these values to run subsequent commands using the command-line interface.
