Created attachment 151088 [details] ctrl+v paste the last clipboard in the editor In the project file list I try to duplicate a file (php project) with ctrl+c and ctrl+v but somehow this does not work anymore when I upgraded from version 7 to 8. The ctr+v option stays grayed out in the mouse menu and it looks like previous clipboard content is pasted into the editor screen. Tried in version 7 and there it is working.
After looking more into this issue I see that when I try to copy a file from the navigator pane, the focus is lost and moved to the editor pane...but I cannot find a solution. Also tried the windows Safe mode but the issue remains. The logs do not give a clue. It makes netbeans8 quite useless and at this moment I'm switching back to netbeans 7 where the problem does not occur.

Sure it does not work this way, you cannot paste the file on itself. Select the parent folder and then the Ctrl+V will work and the Paste action in the popup menu will be enabled. see #250134 - the user requests what you're trying to do. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 250134 ***
