Maven 3.0.5 was released nearly two years ago. Maven 3.1 came out on 2013-07-15 and Maven 3.2 hit 2014-02-21. Maven 3.1 added security enhancements, better logging, better multithreading support, etc.

Can NetBeans please start including a more recent Maven? At least one plugin author is targeting Maven 3.1+ (https://github.com/GeoDienstenCentrum/sass-maven-plugin/issues/12), and I assume we will only see more over time.
