Please, you need to give us more information (what language, what project type, was the project opened in IDE before update). Based on your log, my guess is PHP? If so, please check issue 247026. Workaround to get it working again is to delete cache directory:
  - close NetBeans
  - delete this directory
     C:\Users\sfritts\AppData\Local\NetBeans\Cache\8.0
  - start NetBeans again, it will scan all your sources and it will work again.

No need to apologize. Your report was useful as it confirmed the issue 247026. I resolved it as duplicate so we don't have opened multiple issues with same problem, you couldn't have known there is already similar report.
