Description pekarna 2014-09-06 14:20:10 UTC
This could serve as a workaround for Bug 246861 .

In the Project menu, there's "Open Required Projects". The submenu usually shows "Nothing". I understand that that would open dependencies which are actually local project.

Another list of projects to open is "All subprojects", which is currently necessary to get NetBeans to scan the whole project and have the types indexed, so not only Quick Search, Usages, Subtypes and Supertypes in hierarchy would give relevant results, but (surprisingly) even the generic search for text skips subprojects.

While I would still prefer this to change (see Bug 246861), this could possibly be a bit worse solution (would clutter the Projects window), but workable.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
