I ran 2 simple web application in

Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201407070942)
Java: 1.8.0_05; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.5-b02
Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0_05-b13
System: Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64; Cp1252; en_US (nb)

with Tomcat 8.0.9 and it worked fine.

I have just successfully tested a javafx 2.0-based charting service running under Tomcat8 + jdk 8 in the latest NB nightly.

Here is the configuration:
Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201407090001)
Java: 1.8.0_20-ea; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.20-b20
Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0_20-ea-b21
System: Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64; Cp1252; en_GB (nb)
