I just did the most recent update to netbeans 8.0 on my laptop and desktop. Since the update the background scanning of projects stops at 100% and checking for external changes never happens. 

I can no longer use features that rely on the scan such as type hinting, refactoring, go to source etc.

Caused by PHP parser, see issue 244246
