I just updated my bugzilla to version 4.4.4 and am getting the following error in NetBeans when trying to connect to it: "Untrusted authentication request. You tried to log in using theme@[my domain] account, but Bugzilla is unable to trust your request. Make sure your web browser accepts cookies and that you haven't been redirected here from an external web site. Click here if you really want to log in." Of course, the above message is in a modal error dialog so there is nowhere to click. Seems to me that the newest version of Bugzilla has some additional authentication that does not exist in NetBeans. I'm running the 201404190001 dev build of 8.0.
I am getting the same error with Bugzilla 4.4.4 & Netbeans 7.3. Does anyone have a solution? This is a new install of Bugzilla
bugzilla 4.4.4 doesn't work with the current state of the mylyn connector bundled with netbeans (3.10). We need to upgrade once a new connector is made available ...

@see mylyn Bug 433095: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=433095
I have the same problem... And now I regret updating bugzilla, as it ruined my coding workflow... Product Version: NetBeans IDE 8.0 (Build 201403101706) Updates: NetBeans IDE is updated to version NetBeans 8.0 Patch 1 Java: 1.8.0; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.0-b70
Do you have any news on this issue?
see the mentioned mylyn Bug 433095 - it's target milestone is mylyn 3.12, which is scheduled for june 25, 2014 http://projects.eclipse.org/projects/mylyn/releases/3.12 until then we can't upgrade
Thanks and sorry for insisting :)
Mylyn 3.12 is available now: http://www.eclipse.org/mylyn/downloads/
fyi - we looked into the upgrade of mylyn to 3.12, but unfortunately, it pulls some dependencies which are (in several different cases) clashing with other third party libraries shipped with NetBeans. With other words - it is not as trivial as it usually was in the past.

Just wanted to express that I'd really love to see this particular bug resolved. My skills in this area are rather limited, so sadly I can not help with code or ideas. I will, however, happily assist with testing if necessary.
As elgrafico@netbeans.org, I'd really like to see this particular bug resolved. At least could we know the advancement of this issue ? Thanks.
I wanted to also interject that this issue is still a real problem. I was hoping that 8.0.1 would have fixed the problem but no. Please fix this issue so we can again use the Task perspective.
Well I will just add that I am also really waiting for this bug to be resolved because I have to add manually commit version and all this in the bug tracker myself now and its doest slow me down. I hope I could be of any help. If I could have a look to the code maybe I could contribute :)
Is there any news on this. This issue fix has been long awaited. I see meanwhile even Mylyn v3.13 has been released. See http://www.eclipse.org/mylyn/downloads/
Upgraded to Bugzilla 4.4.8 and the problem persists with NetBeans 8.0.2. Greatly affects work flow and task maintenance.
It's still around in 8.0.2, 10 months later.
Problem still exists with - Bugzilla 4.4.8 - NetBeans IDE 8.0.2 (Build 201411181905) - Bugzilla Plugin 1.72.2 Might be noteworthy that Bugzilla 5 is switching to REST API, Mylin targets to incorporate that in 3.15 (April 10, 2015) http://wiki.eclipse.org/Mylyn/Bugzilla_5_Connector https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/mylyn/releases/3.15

If not, I don't think this will ever be fixed.
This bug has 17 votes. How many does it need to be upgrated to P2 or P1? I believe as bugzilla keeps getting updated, more and more users will have issues with this. Will it be fixed, or we just forget it?
fixed in jet-main #2ee77dbf19c5
Integrated into 'main-silver', will be available in build *201503200001* on http://bits.netbeans.org/dev/nightly/ (upload may still be in progress) Changeset: http://hg.netbeans.org/main-silver/rev/2ee77dbf19c5 User: Tomas Stupka <tstupka@netbeans.org> Log: Issue #244069 - Bugzilla 4.4.4 compatibility issue?
tested with nightly 201503250001, and it works!
Verified with - NetBeans IDE nightly (Build 201503250001), Win7 - Bugzilla Plugin 1.1.75 - Bugzilla 4.4.8 Many thanks @tstupka for your commitment!

This is marked as resolved/fixed, but I continue to have the problem. Netbeans 8.02 and Bugzilla 4.4.9. Mention is made of bugzilla plugin 1.1.75, but I can't find that version anywhere - I have 1.1.72.
And to follow up - is this a plugin issue or a bugzilla issue?

Try to use nightly builds. I'm using them since this ticket was marked as resolved/fixed, and they looks stable enough. Also works with bugzilla 5.0.x.

Created attachment 161451 [details] About supported version of BugZilla in plugin description windows
Hello, I have installed Bugzilla 4.4.12 and IDE NetBeans 8.0.2 Bugzilla work properly. From NetBeans I can search tickets in remote bugzilla repository, but I can't do any change in tickets or create tickets from NetBeans. From web browser Bugzilla work perfectly. How to fix this error? PS in website and in plugin description BugZilla you have wrote different information about supported versions.

U serious? Current NB release is 8.1. Current BZ is 5.1.1. Just use current software. > > > PS in website and in plugin description BugZilla you have wrote different > information about supported versions. Mozilla made critical changes on road to 4.4.4. So, yes, NB 8.0.2 supports BZ 4.4 but only prior to 4.4.4. There is no need to release new plugin version just to update BZ version in plugin description. Phrase'up to 4.0' includes 4.x, but excludes 5.x. So, it's ok.
