Description AzPokey 2014-04-17 17:33:13 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE 8.0 (Build 201403101706)
Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_51
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 24.51-b03
1. NetBeans doesn't allow us to change the text of Menu Items because they're not shown and there's no way (that I can find) that allows us to show any aspect of a Popup Menu.
2. Javadoc and NetBeans documentation is very good in most cases except in its Menu tutoriqal. That tutorial is seriously short of sufficient, and even wrong!! It defines a Menu as being at the bottom of the class heirarchy when it''s actually just above the Menu Item. as shown iin the NetBHeans Navigator window.
3. It is apparent that Nimbus is interfering with our layout by moving and sizing stuff as we're trying to create the GUI form. Why isn't there a layout look and feel that just allows us to put stuff where we want it, at whatever size we want?
