* create a "new project..", filter by "prop" -> Empty category is shown

EXPECTED: categories without content aren't shown

You're right, that this nto work for Project wizard as I mentioned in https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=236219, but for File wizard it works fine for me (fix: https://hg.netbeans.org/core-main/rev/acb369420800, see following attachment) on latest dev build:

Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201404070001)
Java: 1.7.0_51; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 24.51-b03
Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.7.0_51-b13
System: Linux version 3.5.0-47-generic running on amd64; UTF-8; en_US (nb)

Minor visual ui glitch->P4.

But probably you're right, that this does not work for maven projects...

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
