Product Version = NetBeans IDE 8.0 (Build 201403101706)
Operating System = Linux version 3.11.0-18-generic running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_51
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 24.51-b03

Importing (and exporting) IDE options hangs NB 8.
Result: need to redo all my customizations again from NB7.4->NB8.beta->NB8.rc1->NB8.ga

I am sorry but I cannot reproduce in NetBeans IDE 8.0 (Build 201403101706). Please reopen, attaching at least the log file and or some snapshot in order to see what is going wrong in your case (http://wiki.netbeans.org/FaqProfileMeNow). Thank you for reporting.
