I'm frequently switching between serveral multi module projects during the course of a work day using the project groups feature in Netbeans.  After migrating to Netbeans 8 I realized that the process of switching between projects is now more complicated. Instead of 2 mouse clicks in now takes at least 4. For the worse I can't see any obvious advantage of the new window in comparison to the "old" menu. 

In my opinion the change worsened the user experience and therefor qualifies as a bug.

switching project groups is not intended to be a frequent operation, it's fairly expensive (based on number of opened projects). Please see more comments in issue 243806
