Steps to reproduce:
1. Maximize NB main window by clicking the green dot in the upper left corner
2. Open Preferences (Cmd + ,) and change something.
3. Click Apply
4. Click OK

Actual Result:
Prefs get saved, Prefs window closes, NB main window is restored to original size

Expected Result:
Prefs get saved, Prefs window closes, NB main window stays in maximized state

Effect does not manifest itself when skipping step 3. above
