Description Lou Dasaro 2014-02-23 06:57:52 UTC
Cannot delete projects that were created from samples.
Invoked File->New Project->Samples->JavaFX->
	AudioVisualiser3D
	Cube3D
	CubeSystem3D
Ran each. Selected all three. Hit delete key. (Heard Windows "Alert" tone) Nothing happens.
Selected one project. Right-clicked for menu. Rename, Copy, Move and Delete are all grayed-out.
Suddenly, Cube3D is deletable, but the other two are NOT.

Environment:
Product Version = NetBeans IDE 8.0 RC1 (Build 201402202300)
Operating System = Windows 8 version 6.2 running on x86
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.8.0
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 25.0-b69

Enabled actions in RC1

Lou, I am not able to reproduce the issue on (see screenshot):

Product Version: NetBeans IDE 8.0 RC1 (Build 201402202300)
Java: 1.8.0; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.0-b69
Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0-b129
System: Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64; Cp1252; en_US (nb)

Please try with clean userdir! Thanks.

Enabled actions in Dev build

Works also in the dev build (after RC1 branching):

Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 20140221-ba00cdff3ec7)
Java: 1.7.0_51; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 24.51-b03
Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.7.0_51-b13

I am not able to reproduce either, therefore I will verify WORKSFORME.

And yet we can see from my first attachment that it happened. Strange.

Shows the error - again

1. Created 6 sample JavaFX project and ran them all.
2. Selected them all (extens-select)
3. Tried to delete them all (this works in Ubuntu), but neither delete key nor (greyed) menu item works.
4. Tried to individually delete them, but neither delete key nor (greyed) menu item works.
5. Exit Ide
6. Restart IDE, and everything works fine, I am able to delete, etc.
Comment 7 Lou Dasaro 2014-07-29 05:12:57 UTC
This anomaly occurs again during testing of NetBeans 8.0.1.
It is difficult to duplicate. Restarting IDE clears the bug.
Rediscovered using:

Java: 1.8.0_20-ea; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 25.20-b21
Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0_20-ea-b22
System: Windows 8 version 6.2 running on x86; Cp1252; en_US (nb)
