Would be nice to be able to differenciate NetCAT user, Netbeans QA team, former user, special user. Category are not clear in my head but this is a way to adapt among all this users in synergy. Netbeans qa team is more available thant NetCAT user, If some Netbeans qa is no more in the team the spec will stay but maybe no handled, Import user is showing like normal must be something special
How do you know which roles are there? :) Anyway, with fixing issue 241021, I've changed permissions and introduced a new role "privileged tester" so common "tester" can edit only some specifications. > Import user is showing like normal must be something special Nope, "import" is common user with "tester" role but there are some tweaks to enable importing specifications without credentials. The "import" user was created simple because specification must have author/owner. But I guess you are right about the "former user", I'll add role for this case as well with only read permissions.

Hi Vladimir, In fact by differentiation I was kind of interested in having different formatting for users to make more clear in [1] what role is owing spec. BTW having a former user may help to recall lost specifications. [1] http://services.netbeans.org/synergy/client/app/#/specifications

Done, in the big table with all specifications, if you hover over some username, user's role is displayed. If user has "former user" role, his name in table is light gray instead of black. I'm closing as it as fixed, I think more colors would make it a bit distracted.
