Created attachment 144611 [details] Notepad++ vs Netbeans text sizes When running netbeans on a HiDPI display (retina...etc), it does not scale font sizes appropriately and most UI elements are very small. Dell XPS 15 Native Resolution: 3200x1800 Windows 8.1 x64, JDK 7u60 DPI Scaling set to 150% In the attachment, I have NPP and Netbeans side by side and at the default settings, Netbeans text is almost half the size (and completely unreadable).
The same problem exists on Linux, also on XPS 15 (236 DPI, 3200x1800).
Netbeans 8.0 still suffers from this (in HiDPI displays the text inside tabs is very very small). Is it possible to either automatically scale according to system settings or have a setting to scales the tabs text?
Still happening with Netbeans 8.0.1. Everything is very teeny tiny. Dell M4800 Nvidia K2100M 3200x1800 w/235 PPI running Fedora 20 java version "1.8.0_25" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_25-b17) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.25-b02, mixed mode)
This is almost a year old now, and was wondering if anything has been done or can be done to resolve this issue? Netbeans is the only thing keeping me from using the beauty of HiDPI.
I have had good success on KDE with the following settings: --laf Metal --fontsize 24 I would note these are highly dependent on the look-and-feel selected. I used to use Nimbus and it was a mess under high-DPI scenarios.
