Anytime I try to access anything via menus in the 8.0 beta it immediately closes the menu before I can navigate it.  Using on Debian Wheezy platform in a virtual machine.  Everything else (so far) seems fine, so I don't *think* it is an install issue.

Have tried multiple potential solutions including unistall/reinstall, shutdown/restart (both application and machine) and looked in system logs to see if there is anything there that might explain it.  Nothing so far.
