This bug was originally marked as duplicate of bug 226994, that is already resolved. This bug is still valid, so this seems to be another bug, but it might be related.

It's a regression caused while fixing issue 226994. Must be fixed in NB 8.0.

Workaround:
1) close/kill IDE
2) delete whole <userdir>/update directory
3) start IDE again and shall not install any updates until this bug fixed.
