The error screen takes focus on most inputs, a keyboard entry or a mouse event, for example. Most often when there is a parsing error on the html page. The error appears, for example, after typing the opening "<" of an html tag, coincident with the editor highlighting the error. In practice, the error appears at almost every attempt to edit the page.

Can you please attach the offending file? Can you still reproduce the issue?

This was a long time ago. If I remember right, I went back to using version 7 for a while, then deleted and reinstalled version 8 after an update. Anyway, I'm not having the problem any longer.
