The exception shows that DomTree window TopComponentGroup cannot be found. Unfortunately, it is not clear how this can happen. Moreover, there are just 3 reports from NetBeans 7.4 and no report from NetBeans 8. Hence, I am closing this issue as non-reproducible. Feel free to reopen it if you are still able to reproduce it, but do not forgot to provide more details then.
