Start Registry and try to stop it from Options |
Dist. Apps Support | RMI Settings | Registry |
Internal Registry Port ... this field looks like
editable, but is not possible to edit it.

Actually, it is editable but the component that represents the
property value behaves oddly - if someone types something in and press
Enter, focus doesn't come to next component. 
Predefined value NONE can always be used to stop the registry.
