Description steeltoad 2013-10-11 19:46:26 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.4 RC2 (Build 201309252201)
Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_25
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 23.25-b01

May be a non-issue, but when installing 7.4 rc2 palette customizations were not carried over from 7.3

Palette customization are not imported from older versions. Keep in mind that not every user customization is imported during first startup of the ide. Thank you for reporting

As response I would simply ask "why not ?"

It would seem that it would be a waste of users time to save their snippets and code only to have to reproduce the effort whenever netbeans is updated. If not imported when updating, at least some facility to import manually should be provided.
Comment 3 Theofanis Oikonomou 2013-10-23 15:32:47 UTC
Well these customizations might depend on modules/functionality that is not present in the newer version or something along those lines. I am changing this issue to enhancement and re-assigning for evaluation. Thank you
