Description svierkant 2013-09-25 14:36:55 UTC
When adding a Remote Connection (FTP), entering the host name is very slow. It looks like the IDE is checking the entered value after every keystroke, but that makes entering a host name very annoying.
Comment 1 Vladimir Kvashin 2013-09-26 06:18:50 UTC
Does IDE report slowness? (slowness notification is shown as a balloon in lower-right IDE window corner). If it does, please attach performance snapshot.
Comment 2 Vladimir Voskresensky 2013-09-26 06:57:55 UTC
You can also provide Self-profile snapshot and attach it here for evaluation.

I studied snapshot thoroughly and found no signs of cnd code at all; some php threads present instead. Reassigning to PHP.

And dumps attached show no activity in UI thread.

Caused by validating of proxy server, not sure why it is so slow for you... Please, feel free to reopen issue #239576 and provide your feedback.

Thanks.
