Someone should make it so the tabs do not reset when switching between data sources it's annoying to have to write down all information and then run query in other data source to compare data in multiple places. (I thought this used to be this way but may be mistaken...) Thank you.

You are describing the behaviour, that the resultset view is closed, when you invoke the SQL again (not only when the database connection is changed). This default is intentional (each resultset holds memory and blocks screen space).

You can hoever override - in the editor toolbar - fourth option "Keep Prior Tabs" should do what you want. (See attached screenshot)
