In the "Ant Library Manager" dialog, I accidentally deleted the jar file for the "Absolute Layout" entry. Now, I can't put the jar file back. To do so requires me to enter the NetBeans 7.3.1 app object which the "Browse JAR/Folder" dialog doesn't let me do. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling NetBeans, but that didn't fix this problem probably because I didn't completely remove everything.
you should be able to find the jar in netbeans installation and point to it. The url will be different (absolute path vs installation relative protocol url) but it should work. Alternatively, you have to look in the user directory (where configuration is stored, not the installation directory) and revert the changes done manually. in my case of nb 7.4 dev + win7 the location is somewhere at C:\Users\mkleint\AppData\Roaming\NetBeans\dev\config\org-netbeans-api-project-libraries\Libraries\ which contains absolutelayout.xml file. Removing the file with the IDE down and starting the IDE afterwards should revert to the state before the accidental removal
This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue. Thanks for your cooperation, NetBeans IDE 8.2 Release Boss
