Description Vladimir Voskresensky 2013-08-07 07:57:20 UTC
We hear about a lot of UI issues on systems when NB is run with OpenJDK (default on that OS). Usually we ask for message.log, then realize use of OpenJDK, advise to switch to HotSpot and close as WorksForMe.

It would be helpfule if IDE provides balloon hint on startup and advice to switch to HotSpot automatically.

Is this really a good idea? OpenJDK is backed up by Oracle after all...

Perhaps it would be better to put such a note to Report Exception window.

Which OS are we talking about here?
Comment 3 Vladimir Voskresensky 2013-08-13 08:57:03 UTC
