Description Roman Svitanic 2013-08-02 14:23:52 UTC
If I select Toggle Highlight Search, toggle button always remains in "unchecked" state. Functionality isn't affected, only visual feedback is confusing.

This occurs in 7.4; 7.3 was OK.

This is due to changed functionality in 7.4 by Bug #203329 which caused the search terms to not be highlighted when the bar is closed. I believe this has been broken since and I find it irritating.

This is now a regression of Bug #41284 which has not been picked up but been noticed.

If we could have this put back to a toggle button where the toggle state is persisted across sessions this would satisfy all users preferences.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.

Thanks for your cooperation,

Confirming cool now. Mind you, the removing highlights of the searches is still annoying as CMD+G doesn't highlight what it's searching.

Changing to fixed as it was actually fixed.
