Description morozstepan 2013-07-30 22:52:12 UTC
Hello, dear NetBeans!
I enjoy using remote projects since 7.3. I run IDE on Mac OS and work on remote projects on linux (create them via remote projects toolbar).
Now I'm not able to use any versioning: after creating or opening remote project, when I go to versioning menu, I see "None available". I also tried to go to project folder by ssh and say "git unit" and then reindex project - nothing changes. It would be great, if NetBeans worked with VCS as with local projects.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I am facing the same problem and could not find a solution until now. It would be very helpful if someone can reply to this post.

i have no intention of implementing support for remote FS in Git. If there is a volunteer who will completely rewrite the git client and the overall git support to work on top of remote FOs, i am willing to provide guidance.

I would volunteer after all me missing this feature dearly; but I doubt I can do that. I am C++ programmer written couple of console apps and got good experience with many libraries.

Alex already implemented this, right?

Git, Subversion and Hg are available for full remote projects.
