Steps to reproduce. Register new Glassfish v4 server with remote domain 1. go to Tools -> Servers. Click Add server. 2. In the Installation Location field fill in a valid Glassfish 4.0 path. Click Next. 3. In the Domain Location page select Register Remote Domain. Fill in the host name (e.g. name of machine in LAN, say darkstar) the admin port the target (domain name,) admin user name and admin password 4. Click Finish. Click Close on the next page. 5. Go to Tools > Servers again. Click on the node for the Glassfish server created above. Expected result: The Location field is set to what has been filled at step 3. Actual result: The Location field contains: 'localhostFAIL:28080'
Will try to fix ASAP (tomorrow).
I just registered remote server and see no problem with it. Server properties: * Location: 10.163.121.89:8080 * Target: domain * User Name: admin * Password: ******* There seems to be some issue with communication with remote server but not with properties from registration form.
Now registered one more server and it works fine again. Server is responding and it's status is being checked using asadmin commands (version + locations) without any problem. For remote servers it's necessary to enable secure admin: ./asadmin change-admin-password --domain_name domain1 ./asadmin enable-secure-admin ./asadmin stop-domain domain1 ./asadmin start-domain domain1 So it should be listening on https and admin user must have password.
I was able to reproduce in latest Dev. With empty Target, the server was added correctly. With some Target set, the Location was corrupted as reported.
Stepan, did you also use mac to reproduce it? I did it for 3rd time on Linux with target filled but still have no problem on Linux. I'm working with current trunk sources so our build shall be the same.
I reproduced on Mac and W7 with Build 201307162300, which didn't contain the latest changes yet. I can't reproduce anymore on today's build, so I believe the issue is gone now after the integration of e5db4ffb4087.
OK, thank you for update. I would like to ask bug filer to verify this with latest development build.
Still got no answer, closing as works for me. Feel free to reopen it if you see this problem in Dev builds after 22th July.
Tested with Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201308072300) Java: 1.7.0_25; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 23.25-b01 Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.7.0_25-b15 System: Mac OS X version 10.7.5 running on x86_64; UTF-8; en_US (nb) User directory: /Users/ionuion/Library/Application Support/NetBeans/dev Cache directory: /Users/ionuion/Library/Caches/NetBeans/dev Not reproducible anymore
