Description Tonka 2013-06-20 15:47:05 UTC
I have seen many feature requests/bug reports around setting the default JDK location. On StackOverflow there are duplicate questions asking how to set the default jdk location. The solution of course is to set netbeans_jdkhome in the config file - which can be somewhat fussy as using the wrong editor will corrupt the config file.

My point is that a good number of people frequently update the JDK and find setting the JDK version to be a bit of a hassle. It would be nice if one could set the default JDK through the user interface eg. a on tab under Tools->Options->Java. (Alternately, if there is only one JDK installed just default to that version and don't ask.)
